BGSound

Within Internet Explorer there was early adoption of inline sound playing via the <BGSOUND> tag.

This non-standard tag has never been supported outside of IE, and HTML5 now brings the AUDIO tag, but there is still no way of making legacy web-pages "work" with newer browsers.

This Chrome extension enables those old websites to behaves in a standards manner by converting BGSOUND into their HTML5 equivalent tag.
